Directions to the Potjie's Place Farmhouse

➡️  Follow along on Van Riebeeck Road and turn into Goudyn Road.

⬆️  Pass the CAMP & POD Stay turn and continue until you reach the Potjie’s Place entrance. 

⬅️Turn left onto the gravel road. (as per picture)

➡️  Turn right into the ‘driveway’ of the Farmhouse. 

🏡 You will see the Farmhouse on your right.

IMPORTANT: Wood-Fired Hot Tub Safety Regulations

Please note:
Hot Tubs are cleaned and refilled with clean BOREHOLE water with each visit, therefore it may appear murky and could stain white swimsuits. We do not use any chemicals in the water.

 

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests, please observe the following safety regulations when using the hot tub at our guesthouse or pods:

  • Use the hot tub at your own risk.
  • Take note: Hot water
  • The hot tub is heated by an open flame, and there are outlets within the tub—please be aware of these and exercise caution while using the hot tub. Hot to boiling water is flowing directly into the tub, so be sure to use the wooden paddle provided to mix the water thoroughly.
  • Maximum Capacity-The maximum capacity of the hot tub is 4 people at any time. Do not exceed this limit.
  • Do Not Use Alone-For safety reasons, we recommend using the hot tub with at least one other person.
  • Health Restrictions-Guests with certain health conditions (e.g., high blood pressure, heart conditions, pregnancy) should consult a doctor before using the hot tub.
  • Alcohol-The consumption of alcohol is not permitted while using the hot tub, as it can increase the risk of accidents or illness.
  • Drugs & Medication-Do not use the hot tub if you are under the influence of drugs or medication that may cause drowsiness or impair judgment.
  • Hydration-Drink plenty of water before and after hot tub use to stay hydrated.
  • No Diving or Jumping-The hot tub is shallow. No diving, jumping, or roughhousing is allowed.
  • Children-Children under 16 years must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • Pets-Pets are not allowed in or around the hot tub area.
  • No Glass-Glass containers or bottles are not allowed in or near the hot tub to prevent breakage and injury. Please use plastic or other non-breakable containers.
  • Drainage & Damage-Do not tamper with the hot tub’s drainage or any mechanical parts. Report any damage or malfunctions to the S@G staff immediately.

Liability

  • Guest Responsibility-Guests are responsible for any damages caused to the hot tub or surrounding area due to misuse or negligence.

Indemnity:
Stay@Goudyn shall not be held liable for any accidents, injuries, or health issues resulting from the use of the hot tub.

To open the Farmhouse, follow these steps:

✅️ You will find the key in the lockbox at the backdoor.

✅️ The code: 1936.

🔑 The keys for the Braai-area will be on the table inside.

CHECK IN 1

To ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible, we provide citronella candles, and mosquito plugs to help keep those pesky mosquitoes at bay.

The water is safe to drink, although it may appear yellow in colour it is borehole water.

CHECK IN 3

Security Remote

Blue: Arms when you leave, activate once you pass the swimming pool.

Green: Stay, activate only when you are not going to leave the house.

Red: Panic

Emergency lights are inside the dining room drawers.

House Rules:

RULE 1

No Smoking allowed in the house or braai room.

RULE 2

Please dispose of cigarette butts in outside bin.

RULE 3

Kindly refrain from removing any cutlery, dishes, or other contents from our farmhouse.

RULE 4

Please do not flush any foreign items in the toilet.

RULE 5

Use swimming towels for the hot tub and swimming pool.

RULE 6

Children must be supervised at all times when using hot tub and swimming pool.

RULE 7

If any accidental damages occur during your stay, we kindly ask for your honesty in reporting it to us. We expect that any breakages will be acknowledged and fairly compensated.
